We would like to invite you to the International Scientific Conference on Materials and Technologies for Defense and Security (MaTeDaS 2027), which will take place at Hotel Zochova Chata in Modra-Piesok, Slovakia, in the attractive natural environment of the Little Carpathians.
The conference is organized by the Faculty of Special Technology, Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín, in cooperation with the Institute of Materials and Machine Mechanics, Slovak Academy of Sciences.
The Conference, with a long tradition, is focused on materials and technologies for the production, development and innovation of special equipment. It creates a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience in the fields of research, development, production and quality assurance of special equipment and related technical systems.
The thematic focus of the Conference includes engineering technologies such as welding, casting, forming, machining, surface treatments and modern additive manufacturing technologies, as well as new approaches to modelling, simulation and experimental verification. From the materials point of view, attention is mainly paid to metallic materials, ceramics, composites, polymer materials and multifunctional smart materials applicable in defense, security, automotive, aerospace, space and advanced engineering sectors. These materials may be used, for example, as structural elements, protective components, actuators, sensors, vibration dampers or stabilizing components in demanding operational environments.
A number of current scientific and technical challenges are being addressed in these areas. The exchange of professional experience and research results is therefore an important contribution to the development of the technical level, quality and reliability of material and technological solutions in the field of special technology.
On behalf of the Conference Organizing Committee, we cordially invite researchers, academics, industry representatives, professionals and partners to participate in MaTeDaS 2027 and to contribute to the professional discussion in the inspiring environment of Hotel Zochova Chata.
All accepted abstracts and the list of authors will be published in the Book of Abstracts. After the conference, selected full papers, following a positive peer-review process, will be published in a foreign peer-reviewed journal registered in the Scopus database.
