We would like to invite you to the International Scientific Conference on Materials and Technologies for Defense and Security (MaTeDaS), which is taking place in the Hotel Elizabeth in Trenčín, Slovakia.

The Conference with a long tradition is focused on the issue of materials and technologies for the production of special equipment. The Conference creates space for the exchange of experience in the field of research, development and production of special equipment, including ensuring its quality. Thematically, it is also focused on engineering technologies of welding, casting, forming, machining, surface treatments, modern additive technologies, as well as new approaches to modeling and simulation. From the point of view of materials, the research mainly focuses on metal materials, ceramics, composites, polymer materials, which are important for the automotive industry, as well as multifunctional smart materials that can be used as actuators, sensors, vibration dampers, stabilizers of structural elements, etc. A number of new problems are being solved in these areas, and the exchange of experience is one of the means of contributing to the development of the technical level, the quality of material equipment in the field of special technology.

All accepted abstracts and the list of authors will be published in the book of abstracts. Subsequently, after the end of the conference, research papers will be accepted by the journal’s Editor after receiving a positive peer review, will be published in a foreign peer-reviewed journal registered in the Scopus database.
